Facilities Overview
Gunabala Study Circle offers all members a spacious and balanced reading environment that facilitates rewarding study sessions and boosts productivity to achieve their respective goals.
Dedicated and Reserved Cubicles
We provide spacious reading cubicles to our readers with attached charging points as well as a shelf space to keep their books at. Each member gets his/her own reserved cubicle.
Air-Conditioned Rooms
All our reading rooms are well-lit as well as they are air-conditioned. We provide drinking water facilities in each of the reading rooms.
Separate Washrooms for Gents and Ladies
GSC reading rooms have attached washrooms for its readers. There are separate washroom facilities for gents and ladies.
Garden Facing Balcony Space
Our reading rooms are equipped with attached spacious balconies where readers can sit and relax after a tiring reading session.
WiFi
We understand that a stable internet connection and accessibility is essential in any smart learning environment. We, therefore, provide in-house WiFi internet services to all our readers.
Power Backup
Guwahati has come a long way in terms of development. We do not see the frequent load settings that we used to witness 20 years back. However, occasionally there are power cuts that don't last long. For such scenarios, GSC has power back in its reading rooms, so that the reader can continue the flow.
Our Principles
Reader- Friendly Environment
GSC principles are based on a reader-centered approach by providing all the facilities and infrastructure to that end.
Health
We have an in-house canteen provision that serves basic healthy food and beverages to our readers! The study space receives a good amount of sunlight during the day, hence, there is no dampness.
Hygiene
We, as an organization, give due emphasis to the importance of hygiene inside the campus. For instance, we strictly prohibit open spitting in our campus.
Easy Commuting and Parking Space
We have a vehicle parking space for our members inside the campus. Moreover, GSC's location is convenient for readers to commute using public transport. While we had multiple location options to set up the library, we chose our location as it was easily accessible for readers based in different parts of Guwahati city. Situated on the Bhetapara-Ghoramara main road, the library is well-connected to different parts of the city via Magic vehicles.
